Countdown, 19 (348.)

Inertia,
it’s always a
“If I stay up a little later,
I can still wake up at
[insert decent time here]
and get some sleep.”

There’s usually a moment when
there’s a whole
“I can probably complete
[insert tedious task here]
in an hour or two,
it won’t be that hard.”

I hardly ever awake at a decent hour,
and those tasks are still flagged, incomplete.
To be going, and not doing,
is the worst self-inflicted curse
I’ve suffered.
