Countdown, 20 (347.)

Playing games again,
one after another,
from the living room to
my room
and back again,
so much repetition,
but you see,
I have the apartment to myself
and I don’t always get
to sit on the couch
alone, staring at the tv,
and wondering why
it’s so difficult
to connect with people.

Before I sleep,
I imagine
a road trip in the future,
after the pandemic is over,
and I can see
a few good people
adventuring with me,
so I wait
for those days,
when I’ll finally be able
to connect with real faces
again.
