One slice of bread
with a thick layer of Nutella,
another slice of bread
with a thick layer of peanut butter,
three small bites,
and the sudden realization that
coffee waits in the fridge,
throwing two minutes and twenty seconds
of microwave time into the equation,
plus one extended period of strong willpower,
a decent pour of sugar-free vanilla creamer,
a few quick stirs with a decently-sized spoon,
and now,
now it’s all added together.
The sum is this:
one really good midnight snack.
Now, back to games.
