Summer Bummer, 2 (154.)

Enjoyment becomes work when it’s set to a schedule,
but good timing keeps everyone right on the level.
It’s a hard time, otherwise.
Focus fizzles, brain cells sizzle,
chaos reigns supreme
when the supervisor comes calling.
How many hours did that take?
How much time was actually spent on that?
Big sibling cameras,
setting their sights on the little workers again.
It’s not meant to be insidious,
but tracking
and deliverables
will make every minute monitored.
Will a minuscule break break this paycheck in two?
Think about it, before you get up to stretch.
How long will remote work
stretch all your funds?
There’s gotta be a better way.
There’s no better time to start growing food.
